Boise Tournament Results

Congratulations to Brendon Kenney, Nguyen Huynh, and Art, Arthur, Joseph & Angela Jury.  These 5 students competed in the Annual Championship in Boise Idaho, and represented our school very well.

Mr. Kenney won 1st place in Men’s Advanced Black Belt Forms, Nguyen won 3rd Place in Junior Brown Belt Fighting, Art won 2nd Place in Men’s Purple Belt Fighting and 3rd Place in Men’s Senior Fighting, Arthur won 2nd Place in PeeWee Color Belt Fighting, Joseph won 2nd Place in the Super PeeWee Fighting Division, and Angela won 3rd Place in the Women’s Senior Fighting and 3rd Place in the Women’s Yellow Belt Fighting Divisions.  We are very proud of how they did at this tournament.  Please take a moment to congratulate them the next time you see them.

The next chance for Tournament Competition will be in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, May 17th.

Congratulations to everyone that passed their promotion test.  You have now proven your ability to reach whatever rank you would like to achieve.  The past few months were spent focused on your goal, and now you made it.  It is time to set another goal and keep working until that goal is reached.  When you set a goal to earn your Black Belt, or advanced degree, do not let anything stand in your way of achieving it.  The only person that can stop you is you!

Integrity means knowing right from wrong and listening to your inner voice. If Master Henkel asked us to do sit-ups, we would do sit-ups! If he asked us to do 45 sit-ups, we do not cheat and do a lower amount.

Perseverance means to keep moving closer to your goal without giving up. In Tae Kwon Do, that means to keep trying no matter what, to reach your goal of black belt, not just start at white belt and stop at yellow belt.
